Provides timely consultation, mental health assessment and evidence based treatment for infants and children aged between 0-14 years and their families who are at risk of or are experiencing a significant mental disorder. This includes early detection of issues that if left untreated are likely to lead to the development of behavioural and emotional disorders and mental illness later in life.

Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation helping young people of all backgrounds who are going through a difficult time.

Activities

Headspace Ballarat provides free services for people aged 12-25 who are experiencing a very broad range of issues relating to their general health, mental health, mental health, drug & alcohol and education & training support. Headspace Ballarat accepts self-referrals and professional referrals (Doctor, Teacher, Worker etc).

St John of God Hospital is the largest not-for-profit hospital in regional Victoria. It provides an extensive range of health care services to residents living in Ballarat and Western Victoria and is a private hospital and a division of St John of God Health Care, one of Australia’s largest health care providers.

Activities

Bloomsbury House provides a free service to support youth aged 12-25 who are experiencing, or at risk of mental health and/or substance use concerns. 'Recovery for Young Minds', attempts to utilise early intervention with young people. Pomegranate House offers time limited psychotherapy to children and adults. This is a low cost service and requires a Mental Health Care Plan from a G.P. to attend.
